Thought I'd give one of those prompt tables a go :> For now, I'm thinking they'll probably be FMA related, but if I get stuck I'll probably incorporate other fandoms.

Prompt: 24. Protection
Table: Here
Length: 543 words
Notes: Written for agkelikos, as promised~ only a week late. It's probably...not quite what you were after but I got a bit stuck \;D:/ Also this is unbeta'd, unproofread, and (mostly) unedited so there are quite possibly a bunch of mistakes :'D

Okay, so. For one of my creative writing modules, my next assignment is to put together a publication project.

My idea is to publish a small booklet of poetry - 20 poems for the 20th Century (title subject to change if I think of anything better). Basically it will be a collection of poetry based around significant events that took place in the 20th century.

This is where I need your help. If any of you could submit a poem based on anything important that happened between 1900 and 1999, I would be so grateful. It doesn't have to be a really well-written poem, just as long as it's mostly obvious what the topic is that would be fine.

If possible, I need submissions within the next couple of weeks - I know this is short notice and I apologise for that. But like I said, the poems don't need to be masterpieces, so even if you can just scribble something out in a day or so, that would be fine.

I'll screen comments so I'm the only one that sees any submissions to start with. If you could also include what name you want printed in the booklet that would be great, so I can give the proper credit.

I hope that all makes sense; if anyone has any questions feel free to drop me a line here/in a private message/on plurk/whatever.

ETA: just for my reference, could you also note down what event you are writing about, as well as the year it took place (if neither of these details are mentioned in the poem's title or the poem itself) please.

Edit 2: For reference: important dates. Thanks Nella <3

Fandom: DDD (HSAU verse)
Title: On A Mission
Rating: PG13
Pairing: Nena/Setsuna/Exia
Length: 1132 words
Notes: So dramadramaduck has a High School AU virus coming up aaaand I am a sucker for HSAU fics >_> So. There is more to this storyline but I realised it was getting quite long, so I might write the rest as a second part. If I can be bothered.

Task: Write a poem about the inside of a seashell
Title: Cockle Memories
Format: Poetry
Notes: To me, this still feels like an unfinished poem and I don't like it that much, but whatever. It got picked to be published by my university so it must be alright :'D

Task: Write a sonnet or a villanelle
Title: Onwards They March
Format: Poetry
Notes: Such a vague homework task, lol. I hate writing fixed form poetry and I thought I wasn't going to be able to do this, but then I managed to write this pretty easily and quickly in class today! 8Db The only things I wasn't too happy with was one) CAN YOU GUESS WHAT THE THEME IS, orz. Need to learn to branch out. And two) sucky rhymes. I'm sure some of the rhyming words I used are kinda lame but I was clutching at straws and trying desperately to make them work. Rhyming just does not come naturally >:

Notes: I just randomly found this when I was sorting through some old folders of work and figured I might as well type it up :D It's no way near finished but I don't know if it ever will be now, seeing as I wrote this months ago on a piece of kitchen towel, wtf lol.

Task: Write a poem that revisits a place so as to re-connect with a person / people that once populated that place
Title: The Never Found
Format: Poetry
Notes: I took some liberties with this task...but it's okay, I'm a creative writer, we do stuff like that ^_^b Basically I had the speaker visiting a place to remember someone rather than reconnect with them. Plus it's set in a graveyard, so obviously the person the speaker is trying to remember didn't "populate that place".

I also had Tieria and Lockon from Gundam 00 in mind when I was writing this. It doesn't have to be read with those characters in mind, but I semi-wrote it from Tieria's perspective.
