Task: 500 word extract of portfolio Title: Untitled Format: Prose Notes: So here is the first extract from my dissertation piece. It might not make much sense so far but I hope it's an enjoyable read anyway.
Task: Write a poem about the inside of a seashell Title: Cockle Memories Format: Poetry Notes: To me, this still feels like an unfinished poem and I don't like it that much, but whatever. It got picked to be published by my university so it must be alright :'D
Fandom: Gundam 00 Title: Untitled Rating: NC17 Pairing: Lockon/Tieria/Setsuna Length: 1141 words ish Notes: This was written for DDD's kinkmeme but as it's not specific to the game I thought I'd post it here too, with a few minor edits where I've since noticed typos and whatnot.
Task: Write a sonnet or a villanelle Title: Onwards They March Format: Poetry Notes: Such a vague homework task, lol. I hate writing fixed form poetry and I thought I wasn't going to be able to do this, but then I managed to write this pretty easily and quickly in class today! 8Db The only things I wasn't too happy with was one) CAN YOU GUESS WHAT THE THEME IS, orz. Need to learn to branch out. And two) sucky rhymes. I'm sure some of the rhyming words I used are kinda lame but I was clutching at straws and trying desperately to make them work. Rhyming just does not come naturally >:
Fandom: Gundam 00 Title: Untitled Rating: G Length: 153 words Notes: I just randomly found this when I was sorting through some old folders of work and figured I might as well type it up :D It's no way near finished but I don't know if it ever will be now, seeing as I wrote this months ago on a piece of kitchen towel, wtf lol.
Task: Write a poem that revisits a place so as to re-connect with a person / people that once populated that place Title: The Never Found Format: Poetry Notes: I took some liberties with this task...but it's okay, I'm a creative writer, we do stuff like that ^_^b Basically I had the speaker visiting a place to remember someone rather than reconnect with them. Plus it's set in a graveyard, so obviously the person the speaker is trying to remember didn't "populate that place".
I also had Tieria and Lockon from Gundam 00 in mind when I was writing this. It doesn't have to be read with those characters in mind, but I semi-wrote it from Tieria's perspective.
Task: Write a piece of prose based on the poem you wrote about your favourite place; put an invented character in this setting, but the character does not like it there, does not feel comfortable there. Title: [Untitled, 'cause I suck at thinking up titles :| ] Format: Prose Notes: I'm still not completely happy with the ending, but it's better then the first draft at least XD;
Task: Write a poem about your favourite place Title: Thiepval Memorial Format: Poetry Notes: This is the redrafted version of the poem I had to write in class today. Thanks to my friend Saiyu for feedback ^^ I couldn't really think of a favourite place exactly, so instead I wrote about a place that really moved me when I went there
Fandom: Vampire Knight Title: Untitled Rating: G Length: 465 words Notes: This was actually a sample post for a roleplaying application, but it ended up so long I figured it could be used as a ficlet too. First fic written for VK! \o/ Plus it makes a nice change from all the depressing fics I've written in the past few days.
Fandom: Gundam 00 Title: Goodbye To You Rating: G Length: 329 words Notes: WARNING - Contains spoilers for episode 23. If you haven't seen the episode and don't want to be spoiled, don't read.
